The obverse of each coin features Susana Blunt’s right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Above the queen, her name is stamped as “Elizabeth II.” Below the queen, the coin’s face value of “8 Dollars” is displayed. The background of the coin is complimented by repeating radial lines which give the coin a gray appearance.
On the reverse of the coin, a lone North American Bison is shown front and center. The large animal appears to be galloping through an open plain with a tall ridge off in the distance. The coin’s silver purity of “9999” is stamped below the animal. Above the Bison, the country’s name and minting year are listed which reads: “Canada 2015.” Circling the bottom of the coin is the weight and the fineness which is listed in both English and French.
